King of Prussia Rail Coalition Seeks Support for KOP Rail
Public Hearings November 13 & 15

On October 17, 2017, the KOP Rail Coalition (Coalition) announced that Jerry Sweeney, President and CEO of Brandywine Realty Trust, will serve as Chairman of the Coalition's Advisory Committee.  Represented by a diverse group from throughout the Philadelphia region, the Coalition seeks to garner regional support for the proposed extension of the Norristown High Speed Line into King of Prussia.

This important announcement comes on the heels of the release of the King of Prussia Rail Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) by SEPTA and the Federal Transit Administration on October 13, 2017.  SEPTA is holding public hearings next week to provide  officials, stakeholders and the public with an opportunity to meet with project team members, view a presentation, and submit comments on the DEIS, including the recommended Locally Preferred Alternative (recommended LPA).

We strongly encourage supporters to attend these meetings in order to provide positive testimony!

King of Prussia Beerfest Royale Draws Record Crowd
3,200 attendees enjoyed drinks, dining & dancing

The King of Prussia Mall parking lot was transformed into a beer lover's paradise as King of Prussia District welcomed 3,200 attendees for the 6th annual King of Prussia Beerfest Royale.

51 brewers served up 100 beers, while the tunes of Philadelphia favorites Swift Technique and Nik Greeley and the Operators drifted through the air. King of Prussia's best and newest restaurants wowed the crowd with delicious treats throughout all sessions.

Beerfest Royale is King of Prussia District's only fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds are used  for physical improvement projects throughout KOP - like landscaped medians, signage and linear parks!

A special thank you to our presenting sponsor, Budget Maintenance, as well as our other amazing sponsors. This event would not be possible without their support.

Join us next year on October 4 & 6!

Keeping King of Prussia Colorful
King of Prussia District continues its mission to provide physical improvements to the area

Since 2011, King of Prussia District invested $1.4M into making King of Prussia a more beautiful place for employees and residents.  Over the years, KOP-BID has installed and maintained  planting beds in 30 different locations throughout Upper Merion Township.  Through the skillful designs by a collection of local landscape architecture firms, neglected areas along First Avenue, DeKalb Pike, Henderson Road and Route 76 have transformed into beautiful displays  featuring 76,000 square feet of  trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses and perennials that provide changing landscapes year around. These landscapes also collect and filter water that would have automatically flowed into streets and storm drains creating flooding hazards and increasing pollutants in local waterways.

Committed to making King of Prussia a more beautiful place,  KOP-BID's Physical Improvement Committee recently created a 10-year action plan that consists of 19 short, medium and long-term projects that KOP-BID will work on with its partners.
