The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to nurture every child by providing the opportunities to grow in faith, achieve academic success, and serve others as disciples of Jesus.
Cougar Connection

Dear Parents,

November is upon us. Soon it will be Thanksgiving, a time when we will  gather with family and friends and express gratitude and give thanks for all that we have been given. On behalf of the faculty and staff at Corpus Christi Catholic School, I want to express our gratitude for our students who come to school every day ready to learn. We are also thankful for the support of our school families who contribute so much to our school.
Thanksgiving Baskets

Corpus Christi students and faculty will be collecting non-perishable, Thanksgiving food items for baskets that are made and delivered throughout our local community.  Please see the attached list of items being collected.  Items should be brought in by Friday November 17th.  Each child will be participating in the offertory at Mass for these items on November 21.  We are such a generous community; let's do our part to fill the baskets!

As part of the weekly activities, we entered a photo contest, surrounding the theme, Our Future is Key, so Be Drug Free. We need families and friends to vote for our picture. Our school can win a cash prize! Please access the contest using the link below:

The University of South Alabama has two evening programs that are open for middle school students to attend.

The first is titled "Girls who Code." This is a national non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. The clubs are free after-school programs for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community and join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models.  The South Alabama club meets Wednesday nights from 7 - 8 p.m. in Room 245 of the Mathematical Sciences and Physics Building (formerly called Instructional Laboratory Bldg. (ILB)).  For more information, click here or visit the national organization's website:  Girls who Code

The other opportunity is the weekly "Mobile Math Circle."  All high school and m iddle school students are invited to attend.  The Mobile Math Circle meets Mondays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Room 140 on the first floor of the Mathematical Sciences and Physics Building on the USA Campus. Bible Verse

Each month students learn a Bible verse, and  recite it together at school during our morning prayers.  We also pray a particular prayer each month.
Our Bible verse focus for the month of November is:  Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God"

The prayer we will focus on is the Memorare.
