Chairman's Message:
Good Reasons to Get Involved in Your Chamber

Greetings!

The Escondido Chamber of Commerce is one of North County's premier volunteer organizations. Our 450 members employ thousands of people and represent a substantial regional influence.

Our Board of Directors reflects a cross section of our diverse membership group. They are sole proprietors and presidents of large corporations. They bring exceptional management and financial skills to our organization.

We have developed outstanding relationships with our community's leaders and elected officials, including business-friendly leaders like Assembly member Marie Waldron, Supervisor Kristen Gaspar, Mayor Sam Abed and other members of our City Council.

We continue to offer effective, proven business tools that help our member businesses flourish. The Chamber creates and sponsors programs that enhance our community.

We are constantly improving our communication tools in order to effectively advise our members of issues that affect business.

Our members join and remain members because they choose to do so. Our Board of Directors, committee chairs and members are volunteers. They readily give hundreds of hours of their time, giving back to their community.

The Chamber promotes free enterprise and protects a strong, prosperous business community...and is the voice of business.

Thank you for your partnership. We do appreciate it!

Kevin S Svetich, CLU
Chairman of the Board

The Walk to End Alzheimer's in Escondido surpasses all expectations
Over 800 people showed up for the Walk to End Alzheimer's at Escondido's Kit Carson Park, early  on Saturday  morning, September 23. Though chilly before the sun rose, the wet grass and cool temperatures did not dampen anyone's spirits. To the contrary, the crowd was invigorated and couldn't wait to start walking. The 820 registered walkers and others raised $84,000, more than double the funds raised in 2016!
Taking Public Transit? Check your route for updates.
Service changes for specified BREEZE and FLEX routes will become effective October 8, 2017. The BREEZE and FLEX route changes were the result of a performance review of BREEZE and FLEX routes combined with outreach from the public. The service changes are designed to improve the efficiency and sustainability of NCTD.

The changes affect 20 different routes and zones, and range from discontinuation of service for under-utilized routes, to more frequent service in other areas, better alignment of certain routes, and transition of specified BREEZE routes to FLEX deviated fixed route service. A sampling of these changes include the following:
