FCI regional offices hosted 89 events the weeks surrounding National Farm Safety & Health Week. More than 7,000 farmers, neighbors, family members, and workers were served hot lunches at Meals in the Field and elevator and community grill events.

Price Check
Land Sales in the Last 90 Days


The Price Check listing includes sales results of 46 different parcels of farmland reported since June 29. These sales are from public auctions which concluded with successful bids; they represented 2,157 total acres in 22 different counties selling for a grand total of $24.2 million with an average price of $4,206 per acre. The sales ranged from a high of $12,700 per acre for 34 acres in Effingham County to a low of $1,525 per acre for 200 acres in Pope County.

Five Farm Credit entities joined together to sponsor the 2017 Farm Credit Tent at the Farm Progress Show. Visitors enjoyed live musical performances from Jericho Woods, cold water, and a chance to win prizes. Bob Meeker of Logan County, and FCI member, was the winner of the Kubota RTV 500 out of more than 1,600 entries.
