PACS 2016-2017 Yearbook Receives Superior Rating

At the end of last school year, the 2016-2017 yearbook staff submitted the Prince Avenue Christian School Yearbook, Koinoinia, to be evaluated by two organizations, Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA) and American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA). These organizations review the yearbook and offer feedback in improving yearbook publications in the future.

Walton EMC Linemen Visit Kindergarten Classes

Walton EMC linemen Jacob Brooks and Derrick Hendricks recently paid a visit to Prince Avenue Christian School kindergarten classes. The visit was part of the kindergarten unit on community helpers. Students learned how electricity works, what it is like to be a lineman, and ways to stay safe around power lines. Each student received a plastic Walton EMC hat.

Kristi Greer Leads Lunch and Learn Banking Presentation

Prince Avenue High School students recently enjoyed the first Lunch and Learn presentation of the 2017-2018 school year. Students enjoyed an interesting and informative session on the topic of Careers in Banking led by Kristi Greer of Oconee State Bank.

Padgett and Gilbert Selected as GISA Master Teachers Becky Padgett and Katie Gilbert Two teachers from Prince Avenue Christian School were recently selected by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) as Master Teachers. Second grade teacher Becky Padgett and high school math teacher Katie Gilbert were two of only twenty-five selected from over 166 GISA member schools and hundreds of applicants.  Read the Master Teacher Story Here

Lower school teacher, Helen Zeagler, and high school coach, Zach Lonas, were recently recognized for their hard work and dedication in achieving perfect attendance for the 2016-2017 school year.

Jared Gilstrap First PACS Graduate to Join Prestigious Redcoat Band

As the Epistle Award recipient for the Class of 2017, Prince Avenue Christian School graduate Jared Gilstrap definitely made his mark on PACS. Now, as Jared has started his college career at the University of Georgia, he is continuing to make his mark – this time as the first Prince graduate to be accepted into the prestigious Redcoat Marching Band.

PACS Alumnus Tyler Maxey Graduates from Marine Corps Training

Prince Avenue 2017 graduate, Tyler Maxey, recently dropped by the school to visit with teachers and administrators. Tyler graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Training at Parris Island, South Carolina on September 15th. Having completed ten days of leave, he is now on his way to Advanced Infantry Training at Camp Lejenue, North Carolina. From there he will go to his military occupational specialty school, which will hopefully be with the combat engineers. Congratulations to Tyler for his military accomplishments, and we extend our gratitude for his service to our country.
