COMPANY DIRECTOR'S NOTE!
NOTES FROM KRISTEN!

Hi Company Families! 

We have an exciting couple of weekends ahead! 

This weekend we have 3 Company routines performing at Harvest Festival on Saturday followed by Center Stage Night at Footloose (break-a-leg Maggie & Leah!) and then on Sunday we have Company Headshots being taken, as well as Sunday rehearsal! 

Next weekend we have the homecoming parade on Saturday followed by the TOP Dance Directive on Sunday- woohoo! Get ready for a super fun fall season! And be sure to read these newsletters and the Sunday Snapshot to stay on top of it all! 

COMPANY HEADSHOTS ARE THIS SUNDAY FOR EVERYONE! Please read the information below so you know when to be there, what to wear and what to expect!

Here are a few quick notes but BE SURE TO READ THE BLOCKS BELOW to stay up-to-date on all of our Company Information!  (The schedule of dates is also below!)

  • Awards from Nationals are now available to be picked up at the front desk!
  • Reminder! Students must wear their company uniform to Sunday rehearsals as well as weekday classes!  
  • Sunday rehearsals continue this Sunday, October 8th- see schedule below! 
  • Company Headshots are THIS Sunday, October 8th for EVERYONE in Company! See below for details!
  • Harvest Festival is this Saturday, October 7- Details below! Performers: Please select your t-shirt size if you have not already done so! Click here!
  • Center Stage Night at Footloose: Saturday, October 7th, 7:30pm at UCM's Highlander Theatre
  • Homecoming Parade: October 14th! Don't forget to sign up and reserve your shirt size by October 11th! See block below!
  • The Talent on Parade Dance Directive is coming up October 15th! This is a required event for all Pre-Professional Company members and is optional, but highly recommended, for all other company dancers! :) Dancers who won a scholarship to attend this event for FREE need to bring the scholarship to me!
  • Save the Date! Our Company Intensives with Don Mirault will be December 15-17 and are required for everyone except Pre-Company! 
  • Kari Herman Master Classes: October 28! Sign up below!
  • Our Pizza fundraiser is underway! Pizza order forms are available at the front desk! Remember, money is due when orders are placed! All order forms need to be turned in by October 28th!
  • If your dancer plans to compete a solo/duet/trio this year we must have a contract signed for the solo/duet/trio! We will be unable to assign a teacher to your dancer/start the routine until we receive your paperwork.

COMPANY HEADSHOTS!
THIS SUNDAY: 3:00-8:00pm!

We will be taking Company (Principal & Corps) and Pre-Company photos this Sunday, October 8th!

We will be taking individual photos of  ALL competition dancers, Corps, Principal & Pre-Company,  so EVERYONE needs to attend! 
  • Please wear your company leotard and have your hair down and fixed nicely! This is a picture representing our awesome 2017/18 Company Team and we want everyone to look polished! Makeup is optional. :)
  • For dancers with rehearsals on Sunday during these times, you'll need to plan on taking your pictures around your rehearsal times! Our awesome new front desk CS staff member, Kristina Landkamer (also a professional photographer), is taking the pictures and will have a master list of all students who need their picture taken. You can arrive prior to rehearsal (no earlier than 3:00pm), fit the picture in between rehearsals, or stay after your rehearsal!
  • Company & Pre-Company dancers who do not have rehearsal this Sunday can show up any time between 3:00pm and 8:00pm to get their picture taken-HOWEVER, the preferred time for you to show up to avoid long waits would be between 4:00-5:30pm!

  • We will have CS red shirts for you to borrow! (fill out the form with your t-shirt size below! Please do so even if you already did for Burg Fest-thank you!)
  • Wear your hair in a ponytail.  
  • No makeup is required.

Master Classes are OPEN TO EVERYONE, AGES 7 & Up in the studio and entire community! Dancers of all skill levels are welcome!

Two Lyrical/ Contemporary Master Classes: October 28th
Junior Lyrical/ Contemporary (for ages 7-11): 11:00-12:30pm
Senior Lyrical/ Contemporary (for ages 12 & Up): 12:30-2:00pm

TOP DANCE DIRECTIVE!
Talent on Parade Dance Directive
October 15th

This is a GREAT opportunity that I highly recommend to all Company and Pre-Company students!* 

There will be classes in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, musical theatre and more!  
Beginners (generally age 7 and younger) approx. 7:15am-12:00pm
  • $74 for the day or any part thereof. The Beginner Level is a half-day program that consists of 4 morning classes at approximately one hour each, with registration beginning at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes beginning at 8:00 am. Classes will conclude around noon. It will be geared primarily to ages 7 and younger with 2 or less years studio experience although true beginners of any age will be welcome.
Intermediate students (generally age 8-12)  approx. 7:15am-5:00pm
  • $94 for the day or any part thereof. The Intermediate Level program consists of a full day of classes which typically includes 8 classes of approximately 1 hour each. Registration begins at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes begin at 8:00 am. There is a 1 hour lunch break around noon, and classes conclude around 5:00 pm. These classes are best for dancers ages 8-12 with 2-4 years of studio experience although dancers of all ages are typically represented based on strength of experience and comfort level.
Advanced students (generally age 12 and up) approx. 7:15am-6:30pm  (including an hour and a half scholarship audition).
  • $104 for the day or any part thereof. The Advanced Level program consists of a full day of classes which typically includes 8 classes of approximately 1 hour each and a 1 1/2 hour audition class as well. Registration begins at 7:15 am, warm-up at 7:45 am, and classes begin at 8:00 am. There is a 1 hour lunch break around noon, and classes conclude around 6:30 pm. These classes are best for dancers ages 12 and older who work hard and are ready to be challenged. Strong dancers under 12 may also be admitted with studio teacher recommendation.
*Pre-Pro Dancers are Required to Attend!

First: Download Team App onto your smartphone.

Then follow these steps:

1. Sign-up to Team App.
 You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.

2. Log in. Then search for Center Stage Company and request access to the group(s) that apply to you.

For example, everyone should request access to join the 2017/18 All Company group and then all of the group classes/ routines that you/ your dancer are in! 

3.  Enable Push Notifications on your phone! (Go to settings to enable them.)

We will use this App to send push notifications to your phone to give everyone immediate need-to-know information- especially during the competition season! 

If you don't have a smartphone, reply to this email so you can be added manually and you'll receive email notifications instead of push notifications to your phone.
