Our
Primary
classrooms
are continuing to work with lessons in Grace and Courtesy as they settle into the school year. Classes are also taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather to enjoy outdoor time together. The children spend a portion of the morning on the playground in addition to work time in the indoor and outdoor environments. If you visit school during morning work time, you may see children at work in the outdoor environment - raking, hammering, painting, and observing/exploring materials.

The year is off to a great start in
Lower Elementary
!
As with the commencement of any school year, each class has spent time developing a sense of community by discussing ideas for the ideal classroom. The children have also received the first few Great Lessons, and are enjoying botany and zoology work as well. Tara's class is currently studying living/nonliving things, predators/prey, and vertebrates, starting with the fish. Becca's class is studying and examining the parts of leaves, with each child creating a book to illustrate the concepts.
