NEW NATURE PRESERVE IN NORWOOD
When Marion Light would visit her sister in Norwood, she told herself that someday she, too, wanted to settle in this place. Born in Hubbell, raised near Detroit, yet residing in Chicago for more than two decades, she knew she wanted to someday return to Michigan.
What she didn't realize at the time was that Norwood would become her heart home for years to come, and in 2017, she would be donating the 22-acre George and Marion Light Nature Preserve to the Little Traverse Conservancy to protect a special land that she and George wanted to be left in its natural state for all time.
