Box Tops for Education

We collect Box Tops all year long. Last year we raised over $600! This is such a great way for the school to earn money to purchase needed items for the classrooms and playgrounds. So remember to keep clipping!

harvest-banner.jpg  Director's Corner

Dear parents,

We hope that all of you made it through the hurricane without any damage and we were all so happy to get things back in order and see everyone's smiling faces again. I want to say thanks to all those that donated supplies for Puerto Rico, we collected over 15 boxes of supplies for the relief. Also, thank you to everyone who participated in the cookie dough fundraiser, we made about $500 and will be purchasing playground toys with it.
We are looking forward to many fun and exciting things the next few weeks that will also hopefully include some cooler weather!  Our Character parade and VPK trick or trunk is happening this month and pretty soon the classrooms will be talking about giving thanks, the ever exciting Santa Claus, and most importantly the real reason for Christmas, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I can hardly believe that the new year is right around the corner and I want to encourage all of our families to try and take some time to slow down and enjoy the present. We have seen a lot of sadness happening in our world right now so its important to stop and see the happiness as well and there is a lot of it to be seen everyday in the smiling faces of the little ones. Thank you for allowing us to be with your child each day and for being a part of our family at Family of Christ, we truly feel blessed to have all of you and your children here

Many Blessings,

Jill Hammond, CDC Director

CDC Character Parade and VPK Trick or Trunk!
On Friday, October 27th we will have our annual Character Parade. The parade will start with the infants at 9:00 and each class will follow behind about every 5 minutes. The infants (in a stroller) ones and two year olds will parade out the front door, around the overhang and back to their class. The threes and up will parade out the door and around the parking lot (Building one) and back to their class. Our VPK Classes will walk down to the elementary school soccer field for Trick or Trunk after they finish the parade.
Please bring your child to class dressed in costume (nothing scary) and no later than 8:45. We will be closing the parking lot at 8:55 and NO CARS will be allowed IN or OUT after that time. Parents are invited to stay and watch the parade but your child must be dropped off in class and then you may wait outside to watch the parade. The parking lot will be closed and NO cars will be allowed to move until the entire parade is over (by 9:30).
Please do not send any costume props with your child and make sure they are wearing shoes that they can walk in.
This is a fun event that your child is sure to enjoy. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to Ms. Jill at anytime.
