College and Career Planning Opportunities
EMS ISD Super Saturday College and Career Planning Event for junior and senior students and their parents will be on October 21 from 9 am to noon at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center. There will be a variety of sessions to help students meet their college and career goals. To view session descriptions and times, click here.
Students in grades 6-12 and their families are invited to t
he sixth-annual College Night on October 25 from 6-8 pm at the EMS ISD Hollenstein Career and Technology Center.

Taste of Northwest Champions
EMS ISD participated in the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce's Taste of Northwest Business Expo on October 19, 2017 at the Saginaw Recreation Center. The Culinary Arts class from the Hollenstein competed against local restaurants and caterers and placed first in the People's Choice Restaurant category.
In addition, Boswell chemistry won first place for their
slime-making skills in the Judge's Choice Best Booth category. Other EMS groups included robotics, graphic arts, animation, Saginaw theatre, Saginaw yearbook, and Chisholm Trail Spanish students.
Performance groups included the Boswell Jazz Band, Chisholm Trail Ranger Vocal Band, and the Saginaw Starsteppers. Chisholm Trail NHS and AVID students, along with Boswell NHS students, volunteered and helped the Chamber keep the event clean with trash and spills duty.

Early Voting - Opens Monday
Early Voting for the EMS ISD Bond Election begins Monday, October 23, and ends Friday, November 3. During Early Voting, registered voters may cast their ballots at EMS ISD Administration Building 6 or ANY Early Voting polling location in Tarrant County.

- Monday-Friday, October 23-27 from 8 am to 5 pm
- Saturday, October 28 from 7 am to 7 pm
- Sunday, October 29 from 11 am to 4 pm
- Monday-Tuesday, October 30-31 from 8 am to 5 pm
- Wednesday, November 1 from 8 am to 5 pm
- Thursday-Friday, November 2-3 from 7 am to 7 pm
Election Day -
Tuesday, November 7, from 7 am to 7 pm
On Election Day, voters must vote at the location designated for their precinct.

To say thank you to our senior patrons, EMS ISD held a luncheon for our Gold Card members on October 18 at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center. The HCTC Culinary Arts students prepared the desserts and provided table service during the event. Gold Card members were given updates about the district and the upcoming bond election.
