CONNECT WITH SM AT MML SUMMER CONVENTION JUNE 25-28

Attendees of the annual Maryland Municipal League  Summer Convention in Ocean City (June 25-28) should make sure you stop by the Sustainable Maryland booth (on the Main Street exhibit area) to learn how your community can register with Sustainable Maryland, ask staff last minute questions about your 2017 certification application, or learn more about what other SM communities are doing to advance sustainability projects in their communities. See you there!

CAN WE HAVE 15 MINUTES? TAKE THE SM SURVEY

The Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at the University of Maryland would like to learn how you have engaged with the Sustainable Maryland program. Regardless of whether you've participated in the program, we are interested in hearing from people from every municipality in the state.

This free and voluntary program has been around for the past five years and we want to hear from folks who have decided to participate in the program as well as from those communities that have not. We would appreciate it if you took 15 minutes to take this anonymous survey.

QUOTE

"Wherever we live, whoever we are, we all share the same responsibility: make our planet great again."

-- Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of France, reaffirming support for the Paris Climate Agreement

Sustainable Maryland is an initiative of the Environmental Finance Center at the University of Maryland. It is a free and voluntary program designed to help Maryland communities choose a direction for their sustainability efforts, improve access to resources needed to implement action, and recognize their accomplishments. Our sponsors include the Town Creek Foundation, US Environmental Protection Agency, and the Maryland Municipal League. For more information about how your municipality can register in the Sustainable Maryland program, plus customized Green Team training and access to student resources that are available to provide consultancy services for municipal planning, please contact 301-405-7956 or mikeh75@umd.edu
