Dear parents and families,

As warm as it has been, it is incredibly hard to accept that October is already here. October is the Month of the Most Holy Rosary, and therefore out students will be spending some time each week in class praying the Rosary for the intentions of the school.

Some quick notes:
  • Wednesday, 10/4: Student Pictures (Dress up)
  • Monday, 10/9: No School, Columbus Day
  • Wednesday, 10/11: 11:30 Dismissal, Teacher Work Day
  • Thursday, 10/19: STEAM Night 6:15-7:30

Tomorrow please have your child(ren) dressed in their Sunday best for Picture Day. Teeth should be brushed, hair should be styled, and students should be dressed up to ensure the best lasting picture for your photo albums.

I'd like to welcome Mrs. Melissa Pollin to our staff as our new Kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Pollin will be joining Mrs. Hopkins for a week beginning on October 16th, and then the class will split into two. Mrs. Pollin has her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wilkes University, and her Master of Arts in Education from College of St. Elizabeth. She has been in education for 10 years as a teacher's aide, special education teacher, and PreK teacher. She brings a love of the Catholic faith, exciting and kind personality, and a love of learning to the classroom. Welcome Mrs. Pollin!

Please be on the lookout for our next PTO newsletter which will be sent home tomorrow. There is exciting news about the Trunk or Treat event and movie night!

On October 19th we are thrilled to be partnering with Marymount University to once again host a STEAM night. We will have many STEAM activities and experiments for our students to participate in right in our own cafeteria. The event will go from 6:15 to 7:30 PM.

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
Principal
