White Supremacy Teach-In
Service Leader:  Rev. Margret A. O'Neall
Sunday, October 22, 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
Understanding and combating white supremacy culture is a theological and practical endeavor for Unitarian Universalists everywhere as we work to live the principles that guide our faith commitments. Let us join with courage in exploration and experiences to become more awakened to the work that lies before us.
Share the Plate with Aliento
Sunday, October 22 at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
Today we choose to Share the Plate with Aliento to honor Celso Mireles. Aliento was founded in 2016 by Reyna Montoya, an educator, dancer, and community organizer. Influenced by her own experiences of growing up undocumented, she began using art to start her process of healing and founded Aliento to co-create spaces of healing and empowerment in her community. Aliento is a community organization that is undocumented and youth-led by directly impacted people and allies who are invested in the well-being, emotional healing, and leadership development of the immigrant
community.
Please make checks payable to UUCP. One check is then written to Aliento from UUCP. If you check is for another purpose than Aliento, please note that purpose on the memo line, i.e., pledge. Otherwise all money collected will go to Aliento.

80's Babies Small Group
Sunday, October 22 at 12:30 PM, meet in Sanctuary after second service
Facilitators:  Sarah Moore and Amy McKlindon
The "80s Babies" (formerly the Young Adults Small Group) is a place for those of us born in the 80's (70's and 90's babies also welcome) to come together and talk about issues important to us.  We are an open group, providing a safe space to share ideas, challenge each other respectfully, and connect with one another.

We meet the fourth Sunday of the month after second service (or the only service, depending on the schedule), when we'll gather at the back of the Sanctuary and then head off-site for food and conversation. Contact Sarah or Amy below for more information.

Opening Spaces. Making Inclusive Places.
Back of the Sanctuary after each service
Double down for the new front doors! Chip in to make the patio a beautiful gathering space!  Our renovations this year will help make this a truly inclusive congregation. We are off to a good start on this final round of funding and we've raised $111,000 so far toward our $300,000 goal.  Every pledge, no matter what size, helps us complete our capital budget funding.  Details are on the UUCP website at the link below or visit the table at the back of the sanctuary on Sundays to talk to a capital construction representative.
