Student-Led Shabbat Morning Service, Sat. Dec. 2, 9 am. Hebrew School students will help lead the service with Rabbi Adler.

Kabbalat Shabbat Veteran's Day Service
Friday, Nov. 10, 8 pm 
CBD holds a special Veteran's Day service every year, horning those in the community that have served our country. This year, our guest speaker is Narragansett resident Chuck Viera.  Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Army to fly helicopters and served from 1968 to 1971, with a tour in Vietnam. He received  40 medals for his service in Vietnam, including the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart. 

Join us in honoring all our veterans and to hear Chuck's stories about his time in serving our country.

CBD member Bob Hicks will speak about his recent year in the Peace Corps, serving in Micronesia. The Peace Corps' "third goal" is to help create an understanding back home of the culture in which volunteers serve. The talk and photos will touch on the former territory's history and geography, America's role since WWII as well as native culture, economy, government, and education system.

Students gather for a community project
Adults gather for discussion, led by Craig Swan, Rector, and Rabbi Adler. 
 
10:30 - 11:30 am
Everyone joins together for a worship service. Rabbi Adler will give the sermon.

After the service, there will be a community, pot luck brunch

PJ Library Story Hour
Sun. Nov. 19, 9:30 to 10:30 am
A monthly celebration of storytelling, with stories about the values of kindness, cooperation and respect - chosen for their connection to holidays and traditions. After the story, create something special to bring home. All little ones in the community (ages 2-8) and those who love them are welcome to attend!
