Old Mill Center runs on our dedicated and giving volunteers. Please think about joining our team. We have immediate openings for a few key positions. 
  • Ms. or Mr. FixIt: Maintenance person needed for minor building & playground repairs, paint touch-ups, gardening and more.
  • Administrative help: Assist with filing,organization, collating information for upcoming classes and groups, and data entry projects.
  • Positions are flexible; we work around your schedule and skills.

Party planners extraordinaire 

Forty years later and the dream continues!

Old Mill Center recently celebrated its 40th birthday with a community party. With the help of Old Mill Center's co-founder, Barb Kralj, and some of the original staff, the afternoon was full of attendees reminiscing about the early days, sharing successes and comical quips, pouring over scrapbooks reaching back more than 25 years, and many memorable photos. Presentations were made by Marissa Matsler, Owen Shellhammer, Rachel Harrington and George Cuniff, all sharing a bit of their history and connection with the Center.

Thanks to the Volunteer Planning Committee who made this fun celebration happen: Barb Kralj, George Cuniff, Bobbie Weber, Lia McCabe, Martha Picchi, Cindy Bond and Stephanie Fawcett.
Trunk or Treat: Sunday, October 29, 5 - 7 PM

Life Community Church is putting on their annual trick-or-treating opportunity for families, and we will be there! Trunk or Treat features vehicles with their trunks decorated with themes, and a person on hand passing out candy at each trunk! There's also carnival games, face painting, balloon artists and more. 

Entry cost is a suggested donation of diapers or wipes that go to Old Mill Center's resource closet for families in need.

You Can be a Secret Santa this year!
 
Old Mill Center's Holiday Families "Secret Santa" gift program will run from  November 6 to December 13 . You can help bring the holiday spirit to one of over 200 kids this year! Get ready to offer holiday magic to the children we serve. Contact Cindy Bond.

Healthy Families program visits Davis Family Farms

It was a beautiful crisp day in mid-October when participants in the Healthy Families program from both Benton and Linn Counties got together for a pumpkin patch outing at Davis Family Farms. As many as 68 children and parents enjoyed hayrides, delicious fresh apple cider and warm doughnuts. The kids took advantage of some educational fun with the grain bins presented by the Davis Farm team. Naturally, lots of families went home with the pumpkin of their choice!  

Thanks Davis Family Farms for such a warm and wonderful experience for our families.
