SoCal T*Camp brings together transgender, genderqueer and gender-questioning college students for an intercampus retreat January 5-7, 2018. Both undergraduates and graduates who are currently enrolled are welcome to apply.
You will be notified in November about your application status.

EDGY Conference

The EDGY conference provides a "one-stop-shop" opportunity for youth-serving professionals to build awareness and cultural competency, learn current and emerging best practices, and gather resources from leading experts and national organizations in the field. 
 
The EDGY Conference, which is presented by Penny Lane Centers, strives to create a supportive environment for GLBTQ youth and families through initiatives, education, and enlightenment. As in previous years, we will be offering continuing education credits for mental health, group home and social work professionals attending the workshop.

The Coming Out group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender Identities in a confidential setting.  This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight, or questioning folks who are coming out, considering coming out or may already be out.  Topics are determined by group participants and can include stress, fear, anxiety, loneliness, family/cultural issues, excitement and celebration with regard to coming out. The group is open to new members the first 4 meetings of each quarter and then closes to maintain safe space.

The Community and Coalition Conference is a day-long, engaged experience that is designed to provide members of the UC San Diego APIMEDA community strategies for creating coalitions and community within UC San Diego using authentic experiences from your mind, heart, and hands. Body Love: A Live Art Workshop with Gabrielle Civil

What does it mean to love our bodies? How can we remove or shift blocks to our body love? In this dynamic workshop, we will touch, talk, movie, write, share, invite, and regard our bodies, ourselves with love and present awareness. For inspiration, facilitator Gabrielle Civil will share a bit of her memoir Swallow the Fish, and some of her own journey to body love through black feminist performance art. Please wear loose comfortable clothes and bring a notebook, pen and any other creative materials that might inspire you. This event is co-sponsored by the Black Resource Center.

Oasis Drop in Services
 
The Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services offers math and science workshops to students led by a tutor who explains course concepts and encourages a collaborative learning environment. Current programs include MATH3C Study tables, located at Center Hall 375, Mon-Fri (10am-4pm). Drop in writing tutoring is also offered, where tutor and student will review writing prompts, brainstorm ideas and read papers for clarity and structure. Drop in writing tutoring is located in Center Hall 322, MWF (11am-1pm) and Tues/Thurs (1pm-4pm).
 
CAPS Daily Drop-ins
 
Want to gain skills to increase well-being today? CAPS Daily Drop-In Workshops are open to all currently registered students and are held Mondays through Fridays, 3:00-4:00pm. These workshops are a great opportunity for students to who are maybe having a tough day and want to gain skills to increase well-being that same day.  Students can participate by going to the location listed and do not have to make an appointment beforehand.
