Tampa Bay Times: International array of artists chosen as finalists for pier project 
   
A diverse group of six artists will compete for a chance to install their work at the city's multimillion-dollar Pier District, expected to open in early 2019.
 
Wednesday a committee appointed by the city's Public Arts Commission pared a list of 13 artists from the United States and Europe to six finalists. The committee also selected two alternates.

Tampa Bay Reporter: St. Pete Scores 100 on Equality Index 
   
For the third year in a row, the city of St. Petersburg has scored a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's annual Municipal Equality Index.
 
St. Pete was one of four cities in Florida to receive a perfect score, out of the 18 Florida cities ranked. Tampa, the other Bay area city evaluated on the index, lagged behind St. Pete with a score of 86.
