GET SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR GETAWAY

The proverbial chill is in the air which means winter is near, vacations are dear and it's time to get serious about your getaway.

Chartering a yacht can take you places you've always imagined or perhaps never imagined. From a tropical paradise to a flower-covered fjord to a Mediterranean port to an icy Arctic edge populated by penguins.

We have lots of destination suggestion and some of them include The Caribbean! Our job is to give you the best, most up-to-date information available on yacht charters and how to make your vacation dream a reality.

In this newsletter, we'll give you some resources for creating the best winter getaway of your life and then protecting it.

"Where can I charter  in The Caribbean?" you ask.

Weather naturally plays a part in choosing a boat vacation destination, so you may have to change your itinerary if you were counting on a Caribbean getaway this winter. Then again, you may not.

Right now, yacht charter agents are busy booking and re-booking vacations due to hurricane damage in the Caribbean. Demand for boat charters is up thanks to people opting for a yacht while hotels are rebuilding.

We love that vacationers are thinking outside the four walls of a hotel and trying something new. We hope chartering yachts becomes a habit.

As we like to say:   Yachts are floating hotels/resorts.  Not only do yachts come with the best service, best food and best toys ever, the party is wherever you are!

There are many sad stories of people losing money when natural disasters change their vacation plans. We here at CKYC say, "Insure that investment!"

You are investing a good amount to create a memorable holiday. Why risk losing some of it when an extra small percentage could safeguard your hard-earned money?

If you're not convinced yet, read on for 10 reasons to insure your vacation in our blog post HERE.

Captain Bones and Captain/Chef Anna have room for 6 experienced guest sailors who want to benefit from sailing a boat under these two excellent, seasoned captains.

Individuals and groups of guest sailors can book by berth rather than chartering the entire boat. You can join the  EMILY MORGAN for one leg, many legs or the entire 15-month sail around the world.
Legs are broken up into "months" that range from 19-36 days. The more you sail, the more you save on your yacht charter fees.

Charter rates are based on 7nights/8days. The charter fee generally only covers the rental of the yacht and its crew.

Plus expenses  means an Applied Provisioning Allowance (APA) is charged in advance then reconciled at the end of the charter. It's an additional fee which covers extras such as food, drink, fuel, berthing costs, customs, communications, etc. The APA is the standard system to pay your expenses on a luxury yacht charter. The average APA is 35% of the yacht charter fee.

Crew gratuity is at client discretion; 15% is customary.

Charter rates are subject to change without notice.
