Fear These Fish: VWU Swimming Is Underway

Virginia Wesleyan hosted its very first intercollegiate home swim meet on October 21, 2017 in the natatorium of the Jane P. Batten Student Center when the Marlins competed against the Wildcats from Randolph College. 

Students, faculty, staff and guests were invited to "Pack the Pool" for this historic event and celebration of the University's recently established swim program. More

M arlins Day Open House is Here!

We welcome p rospective students and their families to campus on  October 28  for the first  Marlins Day  Open House of 2017-18.

Marlins Day is an opportune time for prospective students and their families to visit campus for tours, special introductory sessions for parents, freshmen and transfer students, an academic department fair and lunch.

Throughout the day, visitors have opportunities to
  • Meet Virginia Wesleyan faculty and staff
  • Learn about academic offerings, scholarships and financial aid 
  • Tour Virginia Wesleyan's beautiful 300-acre park-like campus
Early bird campus tour is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and a second campus tour will be at 11:15 a.m. 

The 2017-18 VWU Marlins Day Open Houses are also scheduled for the second semester, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 and Saturday, April 7, 2018.

A Special Opportunity for Alumni:

Alumni have a special opportunity to give back to their alma mater in  honor of our exciting new chapter as VWU. As you know, alumni giving is critical to our academic initiatives, athletic programs, and annual scholarships.
