Pleasantdale will once again be providing the "Rainbows for All Children, Inc." program. Although, death and divorce are often considered an adult problem, children can be profoundly affected.  Rainbows provides support for children and families. Rainbows is a peer support program facilitated by trained staff members/facilitators. These facilitators are committed to helping children develop and strengthen problem-solving and coping skills during this difficult time and beyond.

Rainbows promotes:
  • learning appropriate behavior and anger management skills
  • dealing with depression and anxiety
  • reducing emotional pain
  • improving communication within their family and peer relationships

Rainbows runs for twelve weeks and ends with a "Celebrate Me" activity.  Please contact me with any questions. My email is dspetter@d107.org.

A big thank you  to Tarryne Axelson- Marchione and Tara Bolding for organizing such a great Halloween Hop and to Joy Palomo-Clark & Ms. Steinmetz for planning and running the book fair. Thanks for all of your hard work. And thanks so much to all of our volunteers, especially our student council volunteers. We appreciate your help and support. Also, thanks to everyone who donated baked goods for the cake walk. The hop and book fair would not be possible without all of you!
