O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish you purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may sever you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. ANNUAL PARISH HIKE-SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29
Bring the whole family - even sociable canines - for our annual parish hike. We'll meet at 2:00pm at St. John's-in-the-Wilderness, enjoy an easy walk through the woods of Harriman Park, and return to the cozy barn for a potluck supper in front of the big stone fireplace! Plan to bring something to share for supper. Questions, call the office (845) 358-1297.
PLEASE NOTE:
Unfortunately, the weather for Sunday is not looking promising.
To avoid last minute confusion, a decision regarding whether the Parish Hike takes place will be made on Saturday. If cancelled, a notice will go out and an announcement posted on the Grace Church website. If you have questions, you may call Tom Perry at 845-267-8426.

NEXT WEEK - ALL SAINTS SUNDAY, November 5
ALL SAINTS MEMORIAL NAMES
The Church invites us to honor our relationships with the saints on All Saints Sunday, and we will do so at the 8:00 and 11:00am services on November 5.
If there are names you wish to offer up as an offering of praise and thanksgiving please use the envelopes you'll find at the
church on Sunday, or call/email the church office (845-358-1297/
[email protected]
) and then mail a check if you so choose. You can also use this donation button on our home
page (gracechurchnyack.org) and indicate names in the comment section. Donations will go to the St. Benedict Fund in support of direct outreach.
We need to receive names by Thursday, November 2 for reading at All Saints Sunday services.
You are also invited to bring pictures of your loved ones to church or to the office and they will be gathered in the church windows where they will be a visual reminder that we are surrounded by this great cloud of witnesses as we celebrate the Feast of All the Saints.

WELCOME BRUNCH
Sunday, November 5 - 10:15am-1:00pm
Are you relatively new to the Grace Church community? Perhaps you've been coming for awhile but are wondering how to become more involved, or have questions about who does what, or what goes on here beyond the Sunday services.
On Sunday, November 5, the Welcome commission will host a brunch and coffee for those who wish to find out more about Grace and meet some of the parish leadership. The informal gathering will run from 10:15am to 1:00pm at the rectory (on the other side of the memorial garden) and you're welcome to stop by at anytime.
