TTT OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

Letter from the President
Congrats to all of our TTT members and friends who closed out their season strong at the NC State Triathlon Championship, Augusta 70.3, and Chattanooga 144.6! If you've got races left in your season, good luck! Our points for the 2017 race series have been tallied up, but you've still got until the end of October to get some additional points for races with our preferred race providers. If you'd like to know your own points run-down, drop me an email and I'd be glad to provide it to you to be sure you've got everything in the system correctly.

As we roll into winter, we've got a few things that we're working to get lined up to keep us all active in the off season, as well as some social events too. Keep your eyes out for details about those coming in the next week or two. If there are any specific things you'd like to see us offer the team, please let us know by email or on Facebook. Your ideas are what help keep things moving with the team!

We've also got a volunteer opportunity coming up in two weeks. The TTT will have a water stop on the Cannonball Marathon course. We're looking for volunteers to come out and support the runners by handing out drinks, cheering them on, and also riding the course to provide some support and motivation to the racers! If you're interested in helping out, keep your eyes on Facebook for more information!

Finally, a quick Save The Date notice. Our annual TTT Christmas Party will be on Friday, December 1 from 6-10 at the Greensboro Shrine Club! This is always a great event, with a delicious potluck dinner, drinks, awards, and a raffle where all of our members get to leave with a prize! So save the date, and keep your eyes open for additional announcements as we continue to get the planning and preparations nailed down!

OCTOBER Team Meeting

For our October team meeting, Arlene Barbosa will be discussing healthy meal ideas for families on the go! This was a topic that was recommended by one of our members after seeing how well Arlene is able to keep up with a busy family activity schedule and still be able to plan meals out ahead of time. It's a tough thing to do planning your meals for the week, but Arlene will be sharing some tips and techniques that can help make it work for you too. So let's meal prep and plan our busy weeks so we can eat healthier together!

The talk will begin at 7 pm at Fleet Feet Greensboro on Lawndale. We'll be meeting up ahead of time at 6 pm at Fleet Feet Greensboro to do an optional HIIT session with Arlene, or you can take a quick run around Country Park if you would prefer. Plan to run for about 30-40 minutes to give yourself a chance to cool down some before the talk.

Our friends at Fleet Feet have also informed us that there is another training program on Thursday at Fleet Feet at 6, so parking may be pretty full. They've asked us to please not park on anyones grass on Joan Ave or Trull Ave. We want to help keep their neighbors happy. If you park in the shopping center across the street, please be careful crossing Lawndale as that is a busy time of day.

Sorry about the late notice on this one! We've been trying to nail down schedules and a location, and were a bit late getting it out the door. Hope to see you there!

Hope to see you there!

Currently there are no planned group training events, however, if you post to FB a workout, date, time and place, you may have some ttt'ers show up!! :)
