Hot Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, October 29, will be provided by guest chefs, Jenni & Joshua Anderson.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

REMINDER: Wed. Bible Study
After spending a few weeks with I Kings, our Wednesday morning Bible study group feels like it's reading the 2nd book in a trilogy, so we'll be moving back in time to I & II Samuel, starting October 25th.

Please join us in Board Hall from 9:45 - 11:00 as we explore the fascinating history of our faith, the formation of the Israelite monarchy, and the emergence of the prophets.

It's fascinating, great fellowship, and we grow in our understanding of and relationship with God as we read scripture.

We will get to I & II Kings once we've finished with I & II Samuel.

St. George Episcopal / Halloween volunteers
While at vacation bible school at St. James this summer we met folks from St. George Episcopal.

They are looking for 6 or 7 people to help with their Halloween party on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5pm to 7pm.

There will be tables with crafts and activities for the children. Volunteers are asked to monitor the tables and bring a bag of candy.

St. George is located at 1201 S. 26th. Street. For more information on the party, please contact Bonnie at 502/377-1255.

To confirm your attendance please contact Cathy Reynolds at [email protected] or by cell 502/644-1442.

All Saints' Day
On Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5, we will be celebrating All Saints Day.

If you would like the name of a departed loved one read aloud during worship, please print their name legibly on the registers located in both Narthexes.

Please add your own name, in case we need to contact you about pronunciation.  Last day to add names will be Sunday.

Youth Outreach
The youth of St. Luke's and the youth of Anchorage Presbyterian will do another scavenger hunt at Kroger to gather food for the families of Eastern Area Community Ministries.

We will meet at Anchorage Presbyterian Fellowship Hall on
Sunday, November 5 at 5pm to enjoy some cheesy pizza then head to Kroger Middletown.

We will return to AP to assemble the Thanksgiving baskets with food. The activity should conclude by 8am.

Thanksgiving Turkeys for EACM
The Youth will be collecting Kroger gift cards to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys for EACM through November 13 for families to purchase turkeys.

There will be baskets located in both narthex's for gift cards and/or contributions. Other items may be donated ( click here to see the flyer).

Many thanks for your help!

Winter Foyer Groups Sign Ups
Foyer Groups are groups of 6-8 (could be more) people that meet for a meal (at someone's home or at a restaurant). Every person (or couple) takes a turn arranging a meeting.  After the Winter meetings, new groups will begin in the Spring.

Besides having fun and getting to know each other, Foyer Groups offer an excellent opportunity to discuss where our church is now, where it is going and how we feel.   Of course, the groups have no assigned topics and people may just want to let the conversations ramble and flow, laugh and have a good time.

Sign-ups begin this weekend and will run through November 5 when sign-up sheets will be taken up.   Call Calvin Riley Pinney: 245 1623 or Caroline Eddleman: 253-0135 for information or questions.
