Several events being run by the National Park and others, are now fully booked - we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

November Training Sessions for Exmoor Tourism Businesses
'Exmoor Awareness' - **BOOKING NOW OPEN**
  
The National Park Authority has developed a brand new training course designed  to help tourism businesses get the most from the National Park. 
The new course will comprise 3 days in total and you can do whichever days are most relevant to your needs.
Day 1  - Moor Discovery - Designed to introduce businesses to the National Park, its management and its special qualities; ideal if you're a new business here or you've not attended any of our previous Exmoor Awareness training sessions.
Day 2 -  Moor Connections - An interactive day to help improve your tourism business skills and increase your confidence, knowledge and understanding of the National Park, and equip you to benefit from your association with the National Park.
Day 3 - Moor Update - A spring update day on 13th March 2018 suitable for all businesses to learn about the latest initiatives and goings on within Exmoor and an optional field trip.
With a carefully designed programme of professional tourism business training and input from the National Park Conservation Team and Rangers, we'll ensure that your valuable time is well spent. Educational input will be underpinned with sound business advice and practical support on subjects such as experiential marketing and understanding what makes your business attractive to customers.
Days 1 and 2 will be held on 7th and 14th November from 11am to 4pm at Dunster National Park Centre will cost just £15 per person (includes refreshments and light buffet lunch) or both days can be booked for just £25.  Book Here!

Eat Exmoor - developing the local food message with tourism businesses

Exmoor National Park and Visit Exmoor are putting together some initiatives designed to promote the local food message. '#EatExmoor' is a comprehensive marketing project aimed at encouraging more visitors to come to the area to enjoy Exmoor's unique and tasty produce and the landscape it comes from.
a) Local Producers' Event - Wednesday 7th February 2018, (please note date change to avoid clash with end of shooting season!). The event will be held at the Beach Hotel, Minehead and is designed for local producers to meet face-to-face with hospitality providers, chefs, retailers and food buyers to network, showcase and collaborate. b) New Food & Drink Guide  - Advertising opportunities

A brand new 32 page Eat Exmoor food and drink guide - min. 15,000 copies in full colour - will be published by Visit Exmoor in January.
As well as advertisements and listings for restaurants, cafes and food producers, the vibrant guide will include inspirational local food stories and food experiences and will be a great way to gain publicity for your business.
Prices start from just £25 and there's a reduction for Visit Exmoor members - Contact Jennette from Visit Exmoor via marketing@visit-exmoor.co.uk to find out more.
c)  Local Producers' Database - We are compiling an up-to-date database of local producers which can be made available to businesses looking to source local produce to use or sell to customers. Check your business is listed - email Katrina at KJMunro@exmoornationalpark.gov.uk or call 01398 322236.
d) CareMoor for Exmoor Dining Club - a series of Dining Club events at venues around Greater Exmoor is under construction and will be published shortly. The events will provide publicity for the venues involved and will be key to pushing out the local food message whilst also raising money for CareMoor. Read more about the Dining Club Here. If you want to host an event or tell your local produce story get in contact with Katrina at the National Park to find out more. There's no cost to you and we'll help support and market your event.

Partnership Plan Review - Consultation on the draft Exmoor National Park Partnership Plan 2018-2022

A new Partnership Plan is being prepared for Exmoor National Park. It's a Plan for everyone who cares about Exmoor: the place, its communities and the benefits the National Park provides to the nation. The National Park Authority is responsible for bringing the Plan together and is now seeking views on the draft.
Consultation on the Exmoor National Park Partnership Plan runs until the 30th October 2017.
Copies of the draft Partnership Plan can be viewed on our website here where you will also find details of how to respond and meetings you can attend.

CareMoor for Exmoor is the National Park's visitor gifting scheme encouraging all those who enjoy Exmoor to support additional nature, access and heritage projects.
