Who are We?  Voices Often Not Seen or Heard
Local speakers (including our own Rebekah Niblock) will share their individual stories of life and disparities in Cabarrus County.
Session 2:  October 12th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Who am I?  Understanding Implicit Bias
Dr. Christie Matthews and Dr. Jennifer Schaal will lead an interactive session on personal bias and how it affects the health of the community.  
Session 3:  October 19th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Digging Deeper Into White Privilege and Race  
How do We Go Forward?
Toussaint Romaine and Chuck Collier will offer an historical view on race and white privilege.
Open to the Community
All sessions will be held in Davis Hall.  
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Food Trucks will be on site
Please note:  We need volunteers at each session to greet and welcome participants.  Contact Peter Bynum if you are interested in helping.

Location and time:
  Gather on the FPC front lawn at 1:00  p.m. to walk as a
  group to Forest Hill Methodist.   Registration is from 1:00 -
  2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill with the  walk beginning at 2:00 p.m.

  or y ou can also  call the church office or show up that day. 
How do I donate?
  You can also send donations directly to the church 
  designating Crop Walk, give directly to a walker or bring 
  with you that day.

Our kids want to learn about God, and you can help them! It is so easy to make an important contribution. In both cases, you will be given all the materials and guidance you need.

4th Annual  Chili and Cornbread

Serving chili, vegetarian chili, cornbread, desserts.  Hot dogs
available for children.  No tickets or reservations required. D onations accepted at the door.  A dditional containers of chili will also be available for sale.
NEW: Check out our Chillin' Chili Contest.   Area firemen will present their finest products,  and you get to select a crowd favorite.
