DCS Emergency Operating Levy

Delaware City Schools will have an important Emergency Operating Levy on the November 7 ballot. The levy will
continue our current level of programs
and fund critical day-to-day operations including teachers, educational programs, extra-curricular activities, transportation and basic utilities.
Key Facts about the Emergency Operating Levy:

The Emergency Operating Levy will be collected at 8.35 mills and generate $6M annually for a period of 5 years.

The levy funds would support day-to-day operations such as teachers, extra-curricular activities, transportation and basic utilities.

The Delaware City School District has not asked voters for additional operating dollars since 2011.

This levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 home approximately $288 annually ($24/month).
