Growing in Grace & Peace
Peace---St. Francis of Assisi---Volunteer Week B
Dear St. Isidore Families,

Thank you to all parents, staff and students for your cooperation during today’s Emergency Drill. These drills allow us the opportunity to practice the systems we have in place and learn and adjust if need be. We are confident that if an emergency ever took place on campus we would be able to react and release students promptly and safely. Our initial sense is that the drill ran very smoothly. However, we will continue to analyze the results and feedback over the next week. If you have any comments or concerns about today’s drill, please contact me.

Mind the Gap – #It’s Not Too Late to Donate!
October is Mind the Gap month! Please help make a difference by donating the suggested $500 per student to MIND THE GAP! The MIND THE GAP campaign helps us keep the tuition down as well as assists with the overall operating school budget. A big thank you to the many families who have already donated! Your support and generosity are always appreciated. Also, thank you to those who plan on supporting this campaign and have yet to do so.

Student of the Month
Congratulations to our students of the month, Tessa de Melo and Torrey Kapust! Students are nominated and voted on by faculty and staff based on community and class involvement, school spirit, academic curiosity, considerateness and kindness, positive attitude, respect for teachers and peers and modeling of our monthly gospel value. We celebrate you!

Red Ribbon Week
The students are fully enjoying the activities of Red Ribbon Week! Please see the weekly agenda below. All donations are appreciated and will be given to the Monument Crisis Center. We will wrap up the week with a Spirit Rally in the Gym. After the rally, we will go back to the classrooms, and parents will pick students up from the classroom.

Scrip
Scrip News...

Happy Halloween! Now here comes Thanksgiving and Christmas. We don’t want you to rush out and start your shopping now, but it sure does make the season more joyful when you don’t feel pressed for time, stressed, and harried.
Give yourself a break, and stock up on gift cards for the hard-to-shop-for on your list.
Also, think about all the grocery shopping that you do during the holidays and isn’t it nice to have plenty of Lunardi’s, Smart N Final, Sprouts, and Whole Foods on hand?
Since Albertsons merged with Safeway, they have been having many issues with cash registers not being able to read the magnetic strip on the cards. Until this has been corrected, our distributor has decided not to accept any new orders of Safeway Scrip. They expect this freeze to be only temporary but until then, we only have a limited amount of Safeway in stock. I know this a major inconvenience but it will benefit all of us in the future. Thank you for your understanding and consider using Visa Scrip, it is accepted by most retailers.
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
