The inspiring story of the Maccabi Tel Aviv 1977 European Championship, which against-all-odds put Israel on the map in the international arena. The film is told from the viewpoint of six American basketball players who joined the Maccabi team to help win the 1977 European championship at a time when Israel was coping with the 1972 Munich Olympic massacres, the 1973 Yom Kippur War, and the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Tel Aviv. The story of the former Maccabi players and their victory captivates the audience in a story of hope, trial and triumph.
