ALL AROUND THE COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE
With over 170 families in attendance and 62 new students signing up for a tour this fall, our "All Around the Community" Open House was a tremendous success! Thank you to all our current parents for coming and always being our best ambassadors! We look forward to partnering with you in your daughters education for many years to come.

TOUR OUR CLASSROOMS
Enjoy viewing our girls learning
Torah in their classes. Watch
Morah Weiss's 1
st Graders
sing a song as part of their
Brachos Unit. Listen to one of our Second Grade
Moros,
Mrs. Waldbaum, describe the approach which she brings into her classroom.
See 2nd Grade reviewing their Chumash unit. We hope these brief glimpses into our classrooms give you a greater sense of connection to what occurs inside our building.

KINDERGARTEN KRIAH
Our Kindergarten staff has trained for several months to introduce and implement our new
Kriah program,
Kriability. Working in small groups, the girls enjoy the multi-sensory activities that reinforce the sound and shape of our Alef Beis. The confidence and joy they display as they learn to read
lashon hakodesh is truly something to celebrate.

PRESCHOOL TRIP TO IRVINE NATURE CENTER
Our recent Kindergarten trips to Irvine Nature Center were both educational and fun! Our classes had a guided tour through the woods, exploring and learning about trees, plants, insects, and wildlife. Our guides turned over logs and leaves to find worms and bugs. We found eggs on leaves, fungus on fallen branches, and lots of acorns! The students touched the rough bark of trees and the soft fluff of milkweed that was growing in the meadow. The girls used their sense of hearing to listen to recordings of bird calls, hoping to attract some birds to the observatory. They saw rescued hawks and rescued owls. After a brief walk, the girls went indoors to see turtles, birds, snakes, and bees in a hive. Thank you to the parents for chaperoning these amazing trips!

UPCOMING MATH EXPO
At Bais Yaakov, we put efforts into making math be relevant for everyone! With this in mind, we are gearing up for our Fifth MATH EXPO
for mothers and daughters in first through fifth grades. For this event,
our auditorium and other areas of the school will be turned into interactive math game centers that focus on fun strategies to build our students' math skills. We have set aside two dates for our Math Expo. The first is Sunday morning, December 3rd from 10:00 - 11:30AM and the second is Tuesday evening, December 5th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
In order to ensure that each of your daughters has a meaningful and enjoyable experience, we recommend bringing no more than three children with you. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited, and families may only participate in one of the two Math Expo events. To register, either log onto
www.baisyaakov.net/mathexpo or please call the office and ask one of our secretaries to help you sign up. Registration will open on Monday, November 20
th at around 2:00 PM and will close once the sessions are filled.
