A strong return on investment: Supporting regional healthcare delivery for our Veterans
by Jill Eisenstein, CEO
Measuring the ROI (Return on Investment) for community health information exchange (HIE) is tough. At Rochester RHIO, we continue to devote significant resources to demonstrate our value to the many corners of the healthcare sector. But it’s tricky. Savings to one participant group is likely a cost to another. And, the HIE is one of many community initiatives focused on improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery.
Over the past year, Rochester RHIO has engaged Article 28 hospitals to increase data contribution to our community health information exchange (HIE) as
required by the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH). Other types of organizations are also required to participate as of
March 9, 2018 and Rochester RHIO is in the process of engaging these organizations this year. This includes
Article 36 certified home health care agencies and long-term home health care programs, as well as other types of organizations.
Rochester RHIO wants to be of assistance to our community in meeting these requirements. To see if your organization meets the requirements, or is required to participate, touch base with your
Deployment Coordinator, or reach out to our Customer Support Team at 1-877-865-7446 (RHIO).
Over 20 new data sources added!
