4-H Youth Development

Currituck County 4-H is selling discount cards to raise money to send Currituck youth to summer camp. This year-round discount card can be used over and over again at 18 area businesses, and is good through December 1st, 2018. It's WIN-WIN-WIN! Card holders save money with the great discounts while supporting local businesses and help to send Currituck youth to summer camp. The cards are only $10 and make a great stocking stuffer or gift for everyone on your Christmas list!

Currituck County Cooperative Extension welcomed Jody Carpenter as the newest member of their staff on November 8, 2017.  Jody will be serving as the Agriculture Agent for Currituck County.  He will oversee the entire Agriculture program and provide expertise and educational programming specifically in the areas of field crops, local foods, consumer horticulture and pesticide education.

Win over your guests with your skills this holiday season! Join North Carolina Cooperative Extension for Bread Making class on November 27th at the Currituck Extension Office starting at 1:00 pm. Students will gain the confidence they need to make bread at home using an easy italian bread recipe that can also be used for pizza crust. This hands-on class requires a $5.00 supply fee and you can take home the bread you make!
