Stewardship-pledges are due by Sunday November 19

Don't forget-Pledge cards are due back to St. James by Sunday November, 19.

This information is vital to the work of our Finance Team as they begin to put together a proposed budget for 2018.  Feel free to send your pledge card back in the self addressed, stamped envelope provided-or drop it in the offering during Sunday worship services.  Thank you for your support!

God is Good...All the Time!
November Mission  of the Month

Once again, we will support this incredible ministry that offers local children in foster care a personalized duffle bag full of special items!  To participate, just stop by the community room at church and choose an ornament with the name of the children who you will be purchasing bags for. The cost is $25 per ornament.  Checks should be made out to St. James Lutheran Church and mark "Bags of Hope" on the memo line.  Please see Rachel McBride with any questions!

Thank you for your support!

Christmas Pageant Rehearsal Schedule
The children will begin rehearsing the annual Christmas pageant beginning 11/19.  All children who wish to participate are welcome and should plan to rehearse during the FFF hour 11/19, 11/26, 12/3 and 12/10 (possibly 12/16).  The pageant will be performed on the 17th at the 9:00 am service.
Volunteer Opportunity!
One of the components of the Traditional worship at St. James has been the Assisting Minister.  Primarily,  this person helps Pastor with the Communion distribution, the reading of the scripture lessons and the prayers.  Assisting Ministers serve approximately 4-6 times a year, and scheduling is flexible.

If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please contact Betty Brito at [email protected].  She would be happy to answer your questions and provide some training.
Holiday Poinsettias
It's time to begin thinking about ordering your
Holiday Poinsettias!

Envelopes to order your poinsettias will be in the pews on Sunday, November 26.  The cutoff date for ordering this year will be Sunday, December 10.
The cost will be $12.00.
