CAYA (Church of the Ascension Young Adults) - Semi-monthly meetings are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month - upcoming: 11/26 and 12/10.   • 22nd ANNUAL THANKSGIVING WALK OF AWARENESS for Frankfort’s Access Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter: Since its beginning, this walk has started at Ascension; the route then goes about 2 miles through historic downtown Frankfort to the State Capitol, and ends at the Access building at 311 W Second Street. This walk helps fund food, supplies, and shelter for those in need. This year Access decided to move the starting point to a larger venue in order to have more room for indoor registration activities – including coffee, light snacks, and tee shirt sales – for the expected crowd. Sign-in begins at 7:30 a.m. inside the First United Methodist Church building at 211 Washington Street.

  • CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING: The parish office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23-24; regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, November 28. Morning Prayer will be held daily as usual, with no interruption for the holiday.

  • Saturday, December 16 - Christmas Dinner for Simon House residents, in Ascension's parish hall, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

  • Thursday, December 21 - Winter Solstice - late afternoon / early evening ? Join the "watch" to see the sunbeam travel to the altar in Ascension's sanctuary!
