Through January 7, 2018 Chicago Cultural Center and other venues citywide The second edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial (CAB), the largest architecture and design exhibition in North America, showcases the transformative global impact of creativity and innovation in these fields. A New Mural by Kerry James Marshall
Internationally-renowned artist and MacArthur Fellow Kerry James Marshall is creating an epic, large-scale mural for the Chicago Cultural Center, honoring 20 women who have shaped the city's vibrant arts and culture landscape. The 132-foot by 100-foot mural will be the largest artwork he has ever designed or created. Work will continue throughout October to coincide with the month-long Public Art Festival-during
Chicago's Year of Public Art.

Congratulations to Ann Murray who has been operating our beloved Dame Myra Hess Memorial and Live Music Now Concert Series. After 28 years of service, Ann is stepping down as executive director of the International Music Foundation, and we're so pleased that in celebration September 27 was proclaimed by Mayor Emanuel as Ann Murray Day in Chicago! Please join us every Wednesday at 12:15pm for the free weekly concerts and especially on October 18th for the Series' 40th anniversary.

Join Navy Pier for Fright Flicks, a free outdoor film screening of your favorite Halloween movies! Grab a blanket and get comfortable for a double feature at 3pm and 5:30pm, with a mix of family-friendly and classic horror films. On Saturday, October 21 catch Monsters, Inc. at 3pm and Ghostbusters (2016) at 5:30pm. On Saturday, October 28 see Monster House at 3pm and Beetlejuice at 5:30pm. The Pier will also offer complimentary treats to Fright Flicks guests on a first-come, first-served basis while supply lasts.
