Operation New Uniform
Supporter Quarterly Update
Dear ONU Supporters,
The ONU Team reconnecting with long distance board member, Tom Chuba, at Veterans United. (Left to Right: Ariane, Tom, Michelle, Mary, Ken, Pat, Sheri, Leslie, April, Justin)

Happy Third Quarter! 2017 is coming to an end quickly, and we would like to keep you updated on our latest news and upcoming events!

For those who I haven't had the honor to meet, I would love to introduce myself. I've been volunteering with ONU for over two years now! I started volunteering during my senior year of high school for scholarships.  In the beginning of my volunteer work, I was given small tasks. As time moved forward, the team saw the potential in me and I was handed more and more complex projects. I began to see the impact my work made within the organization and in the veteran community. It soon became a great passion of mine to give back to those who served us. While I'm completing my studies at the University of North Florida, I continue donating my time at Operation New Uniform.

I have family members that served in the Army and Navy, but this experience gave me a strong personal connection to veterans and one I enjoy continuing to be a part of.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter and thank you so much for your continued support!

Nothing Can Stop Our Veterans
Hurricane Irma was an unforeseen event and caused some major damage to our community.  Our thoughts are with those who were affected, including our ONU Veteran family.

A category 5 hurricane won't hold back our veterans! Although the start date of training was pushed back, these Veterans are ready to learn a few days after Irma passed. My radar says these Veterans are going to take the business community by storm!
4th Annual Heroes Dinner and Show

This time of the year is not only for pumpkin spice lattes, warm sweaters, and bonfires. Every fall we hold our Annual Heroes Dinner and Show! This year the HDS will be held at Jax Beach's Casa Marina on Saturday, November 18th. There will be a silent auction for everyone to participate in. Our items range from gift cards to tickets to jewelry! This year we want it to be the biggest and best one yet. Can't wait to see you there!
