Enjoy a fun day in the park and a festival of family fall activities. There will be yummy popcorn and cider and farm animals to pet. Vendors will have pumpkins, gourds, and starter veggie plants. In addition there will be games, craft tables, Explore Nature, Gorman Farm Info, and "Rockin Jump" the trampoline park.

Grass roots: Art of Nature

Look around and you will find beauty everywhere, but come and see how art first began with nature itself and how it has inspired so many artists throughout history. Some of the best works of art (framed copies ) will show the inspiration that comes from artists of all levels, local to world-renowned. See how their eclectic styles are united by the influence of nature! Walk our Fibonacci labyrinth as you admire the radiant array of chrysanthemums, as painted by Monet. Stroll by the cypress trees of Van Gogh, roses of Dali, and the botanical architecture of local company, Applied Imagination that fills the room.

EVENT: Magic Halloween Hikes
WHEN: October 20 - 21
WHERE: Caldwell Nature Preserve
TIME: 6 - 9 pm
Walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet costumed characters from nature and history. This is a non-scary holiday walk best suited for children ages 3-10. Hikes start at 7pm with the last hike leaving at 8:30pm. We organize hike groups by type: scouts, families with young children, and families with older children. Each hike lasts approximately 1 hour. Cost is $6 per person. Children 2 and under are FREE. There is a $3 administrative fee (per order, not per ticket).

Available on weekends throughout the year at all five Nature Centers. For a 2 hour party appropriate for ages 5 - 12 years, the Naturalist provides 90 minutes of nature activities. The last 30 minutes is for cake and presents...YUM! Choose from these awesome topics: *Winged Wonders: Birds, Butterflies & Bats *Fantastic Fossils *Creepy Crawly: Insects, Spiders, Reptiles and Amphibians, *Forest Friends: A variety of Animal groups including mammals Fee: $150 for up to 10 children; $15 for each additional child.

After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose "help" quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.
