Reading the Face

Maynard ArtSpace Holiday Show

Mother Brook Arts & Community Center Open Studios

Mother Brook Arts & Community Center is a former elementary school in Dedham that now houses 35 artist studios and other arts organizations. The Open Studios showcases the resident artists and visiting artists and includes an exhibit of their work and demonstrations.

Dancing without Borders:
A Pastel Exhibition by Shuk Susan Lee
The Boston Tango Society, 16 Bow St, 2nd floor, Somerville.
This show exhibits a series of world dancing paintings, including Tango, Flamenco, Belly Dance, Panamanian and Japanese Dances. The models are mostly local dancers that I have studied from. The goal is to weave my passion for dancing into pastel, to express my feelings for dances that I have performed and to tell little stories about them.

Beyond the Tangible
LabCentral, Inc. 700 North, Main Street, Cambridge.
"Beyond the Tangible" is an inaugural two-person exhibit in LabCentral's newly designed biotech space and gallery (Gallery 1832). LabCentral provides laboratory and research space for growing biotech companies and, believes that art and science are both creative processes that can mutually influence each other positively.

Newton Open Studios artists present paintings, photographs and watercolors on the theme of Landscape. Through these media the artists craft works ranging from abstract to realist to surreal, from contemplative to breathless energy.

NOS Winter Juried Show
City Hall Gallery, Newton City Hall 2nd Floor Hallway. 1000 Commonwealth Ave, Newton MA.
Call for Artist: submission deadline Nov. 30.
Qualified Artists: Any artist who lives in Newton, works here, attends art classes here or belongs to a Newton art organization. Submit up to three works created within the last five years. Work must be able to hang on a wall, projecting less than 7" from the wall, and weigh less than 20 lb, and no more than 48x60". Work must have a secure wire for hanging.
Our jurors this year are the directors of ROOM 83 Spring gallery, Ellen Wineberg and Cathleen Daley.
