New ALCM Website Is Here!

The new ALCM website was launched overnight last Monday. With the new launch come many new member benefits. If you have not already done so, please follow these steps to set your password:
  1. Go to https://alcm.org/my-account/lost-password/
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Click the "Reset Password" button.
  4. An email will be sent to that address with instructions for setting your password.
  5. On the email, click the "Click here to reset your password" link.
  6. Enter your password (twice) and click "Save."
  7. Log in and you will be taken to the Members Area of the website.
A few things to note about the site:
  • The main Members Area page is your go-to place for all membership-related activities and benefits, so be sure to log in whenever you visit the site.
  • CrossAccent issues are for sale to non-members in the Marketplace, but members can access both CrossAccent and In Tempo for free on the main Members Area page.
  • If you want to change the password you use to log in to the Members Area, you can either use the "Change my email/address/contact info" link on the Members Area page or just send an email to [email protected]. At least for the time being, I have to make email address changes in the system. You cannot make them yourself.
  • With the move to the new website, there is now a $25 charge for congregations to place ads on the job listing page. Fees paid for this service are deposited directly into the scholarship fund. By paying this listing fee, congregations are themselves directly supporting the raising up of new musicians within the church.
  • Remember to list your local events on the ALCM site. The link to the event submission form is--you guessed it--on the main Members Area page.

If you have suggestions for additional member benefits you'd like to have included through the website, please either send me an email at [email protected] or phone 800-624-2526.

Evangelical Lutheran Worship invites us to keep Ash Wednesday through Easter in a new-old way. During these days, we will worship using the services for Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Vigil of Easter, and join in reflection, study, and discussion of the cross and empty tomb, baptism and the Bible--the meaning of this journey for ourselves and the world.

Mark your calendars to attend one of these events that will immerse you more deeply in worship for the Three Days. Come and be refreshed in your planning and leading of these worship services that are central to our worship together as Christ's church.
