Board of Education Meeting Summary
BOE meeting The  September Board of Education meeting took place on Thursday,  September 21. After the Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the agenda adopted, the consent agenda ( see details in BoardDocs) was approved.

The Board of Education has set the following goals and will provide updates throughout the school year on their progress:
1. Achieve Governance Team Award.
2. Complete MSBA Self-Evaluation.
3. Complete one work session.

Each month we watch a video update from the Missouri School Board Association which is hosted by Brent Ghan. That report can be found  HERE. This month Price Elementary reached out to Mr. Ghan at MSBA and he agreed to assist them in the creation of their video which was developed to showcase their building. It was a fun way to celebrate the great things happening at Price!   You can watch the Price Elementary video HERE.

During the student recognition portion of the meeting RMS and RHS Project Lead the Way students provided a summary of the classroom opportunities available. Students shared about their hands on learning experiences from green building projects and medical exploration to engineering and computer programming. The PLTW coursework has greatly increased over the last few years. At this time over 600 RMS and RHS students are enrolled in PLTW courses.

The ACT will be available for those on a college track, the ASVAB will be available for students with plans to join the military and the ACT WorkKeys assessment will be available to students planning to enter the career force directly after high school. Below is a snapshot, and further information will be communicated to RHS families.
