On Monday, September 25, the
Rochester District Golf Association
held its second
Play Day
event of the 2017 season, as a field of 98 golfers played
Brook-Lea Country Club
.
The last event on the
2017 RDGA Tournament Schedule
is Monday, October 2, when
Irondequoit Country Club
hosts the third and final RDGA Play Day of the season. As of Friday, September 29, 116 players are registered to join us for our final event of the 2017 season - THANK YOU to all who have played in RDGA tournaments this season!

U.S. KIDS GOLF LOCAL FALL TOUR
MARKS HALFWAY POINT
THREE EVENTS LEFT TO GO IN 2017
AS POINTS RACES HEAT UP!
Three down, three to go - that's the schedule for the 2017 U.S. Kids Golf Local Fall Tour, which wrapped-up its third consecutive Sunday event last week at Eagle Vale Golf Club, with almost 40 junior golfers, ages 5-14, competing in 10 different age groups.
This weekend, the Tour stops at Shadow Lake Golf & Racquet Club in Penfield for the fourth event of the season. Registration for this event has already closed, but there's still plenty of time to sign up for one - or both - of the remaining events on the schedule, including Churchville Golf Course on Saturday, October 7, and Ravenwood Golf Club on Sunday, October 8!
The
U.S. Kids Golf Rochester Fall Tour
is open to boys and girls, providing opportunities to learn and play golf in age-appropriate competitions. Parents can take advantage of early sign-ups for each event through the Tuesday before each event. BETWEEN TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, parents can still register for that week's event, but for a higher fee.
Participants can earn PRIORITY STATUS by playing in at least FOUR of the SIX scheduled events, meeting the U.S. Kids Golf scoring requirements twice, and/or finishing in the top 5 or 6 places in the Tour's point standings.

- Sept. 17: The Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills - RESULTS

- Oct. 1: Shadow Lake Golf Club - REGISTRATION CLOSED
- Oct. 7: Churchville GC - REGISTER
- Oct. 8: Ravenwood Golf Club (Tour Championship) - REGISTER

2017 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD WINNERS
The
Rochester District Golf Association
and the
RDGA Foundation, Inc.
have announced the recipients of the
RDGA Foundation Scholarships
for 2017-18 school year.
The
RDGA Foundation Scholarships
are awarded annually to assist students in financing their college/university undergraduate educations. Scholarship recipients are limited to receiving a maximum of one award.

VIDEO: U.S. LOOKS TO CONTINUE PRESIDENTS CUP
WINNING STREAK at LIBERTY NATIONAL!
The U.S. and International teams clash this weekend at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey, where the Internationals will look to win for the first time since 1998.
The Presidents Cup, a team match play competition featuring 12 golfers from the United States and 12 from around the world, excluding Europe - is held every two years. This year, the event takes place at Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City, NJ with Steve Stricker serving as the U.S. team captain and Nick Price returning to captain the Internationals for a third time. In 2015, the U.S. Team clinched the winning point on the final hole to retain the Cup, 15.5 to 14.5.

LOCAL SCORE POSTING SEASON
REMAINS ACTIVE THROUGH OCTOBER 31
Although Fall is right around the corner, there is still plenty of golf weather left in
Rochester - and that means that you can continue posting your scores locally for the
2017 season.
The Rochester District Golf Association score posting season officially remains active through October 31. It is important to know that any scores made in the Rochester area between now and then should be posted for handicap purposes. So go out and enjoy Autumn golf in Rochester - and remember to post your scores!
