In November, we observe Veterans Day and this year marks the inaugural Maryland Veterans Month. Frederick is home to Fort Detrick so we have a deep appreciation of those who serve our country and the economic impact to our community. Thank you to all who have served to keep us safe and free.
We are so proud of the first class of graduates from our Future Minority Business Leaders program who graduated in October. Please meet them in this month's newsletter and watch for great things from them in future.
Lastly, November signifies the beginning of the holiday season. It is difficult for me to imagine my community without small, local businesses. Their impact on our economy is rich and we hope you'll shop small and shop local on Small Business Saturday and throughout the holidays. Maybe I'll see you out and about at some of my favorite shops on November 25th!
