NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS
Congratulations to our National Merit Scholars!! Amanda O'Brien was named National Merit Semi-Finalist! Taylor Grabowski was named National Merit Commended Student!
1.6 million students throughout the United States took the PSAT and from those students, 16,000 exceptional high school performers throughout the country were recognized as Semi-Finalists and 34,000 were named Commended on the basis of the national score. SBA is honored to have 2 of these students!

US GOVERNMENT
Our thanks to Mr. John J. Meko, Jr., Executive Director of The Foundations of The Union League of Philadelphia, who donated free pocket Constitutions to US Government students at SBA, in honor of Constitution day which was Sunday,
September 17th.

US HISTORY & US GOVERNMENT
US History and US Government students attended The Abraham Lincoln Foundation's Liberty Series lecture from Professor Jeremy Black on American Liberty in an International System at The Union League. Professor Black, MBE is a British historian and a Professor of History at the University of Exeter.

SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Congratulations to SBA Athletic Director, Mr Hugh McGovern, who is being inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Montgomery County Chapter! This award is given to individuals who have brought lasting fame and honor through their athletic achievements. Our students and athletes thank Mr. McGovern, for all he does for SBA!
He is so deserving of this honor.
