Happy Thanksgiving!
In this season of giving thanks, the Foundation board  THANKS YOU  for supporting the work of the Foundation in Humble ISD schools. The power of these donations reach far and wide across Humble ISD and that wouldn't be possible without the level of support the Foundation receives from you.

We know that this holiday season will be different for many families in our community who are continuing to rebuild after Hurricane Harvey.  But as Destry Balch, Kingwood High School Band Director has said, "We have shed more tears because of the blessings we have received then we have shed over the tragedy."

So thank you for stepping up to be that blessing to Humble ISD educators, students and to our community.    We are  #HumbleISDThankful.

Jerri Monbaron
Executive Director

#HumbleISDThankful
The Foundation Office created a video to share with the multitude of donors throughout the United States who have reached out to us since Hurricane Harvey.  This video is also the Humble ISD Inspiring Moments video for November.  Please share this message of gratitude to those who donated directly to your school.

We are #HumbleISDThankful

Keeping High Schools Traditions Alive
Many people say that the homecoming mum is a tradition as big as Texas. To keep this tradition alive, Ashley Reel, a freshman at Oak Ridge High School in the Woodlands, donated over 2,000 mums to Kingwood High School students.   Click here to read the story.

Board of the Month
We are proud to present our Foundation board member of the month, Jim Carranza.  All three of Jim's children graduated from Humble ISD and he has a long history of volunteering with organizations that make our community great.  We were very excited to have him join the Foundation board in 2016.

When we asked Jim why he chose to volunteer with the Foundation, he said, "I love the opportunities the Foundation gives me to make a difference in my community. When I see the excitement on a student's face when they are working on a project funded by the  Foundation, it reminds me of the power behind our work as donors. I might not be a teacher in a classroom, but through the Foundation, I am positively impacting the lives of Humble ISD students."
