The last putt has dropped at the final USGA Women's State Team Championship.  Different teams at top the leader board each day with the final Champions being Tennessee.  South Carolina posted their best team total in the final round, an even par 144 to land them in 9th place - 13 shots behind Tennessee.  North Carolina finished 10th and Georgia 13th.

Captain - Dawn Woodard 

South Carolina Nichols native lead the team this week finishing T11 individually over the field carding 73-75-71= 219.  Being a veteran at the USGA Women's State Team Matches, Woodard posted 12 birdies over the three days of competition.


Lea Venable 

Laurens native Lea Venable, had a week full of bad bounces causing a barrage of big numbers.  Posting 4 birdies and paring over half the holes Venable shot 84-86-81=251 and T64.




Mary Chandler Bryan

Chapin's own Mary Chandler making her USGA Women's State Team debut appearance T26 firing 74-78-73= 225.  Having nothing but pars on her last nine holes in the final round and posted 8 birdies over the week.
