Registration Open for the 4th Annual Elves for the Shelves 5K

Radnor Memorial Library will be holding its 4th annual Elves for the Shelves 5K on Saturday, December 2 at Radnor Middle School. Register before October 22 to receive a discounted registration rate.

The Elves for the Shelves 5K takes place just before the Wayne Business Association's Santa Parade and is great fun for all ages. With costumes, food, and a fun run with Santa, this year is sure to be a blast!

Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden

Ethan Kauffman, director of Stoneleigh, lectures about the past, present, and future of this long-anticipated public garden. For nearly 80 years, Stoneleigh was the home of the Haas family, who donated the property to Natural Lands in 2016 so that it would remain preserved forever. Stoneleigh will open to the public in the spring of 2018. Held at Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens,631 Berwyn Baptist Rd, Devon, PA 19333.

Staff Pick: Class Mom by Laurie Gelman

The start of the school year means it's time for parent volunteers to raise their hands. PTO members and nonparents alike will enjoy Laurie Gelman's  Class Mom . With two daughters already in college and a son just starting kindergarten, main character Jen Dixon is old hat at volunteering. Relatable and often irreverent, you'll laugh out loud​ at Jen's ​antics, who is​ ​​definitely ​not your average class mom. A Paranormal Experience: Travis Walton Author Visit

Travis Walton, author of  Fire in the Sky , will visit the REcollection to recount his story of paranormal extraterrestrial activity. Walton is at the center of a 40+ year controversy over what took place on November 5, 1975. He explores this topic in his book, which inspired a 1993 Paramount Pictures film. Radnor Studio 21 is co-sponsoring this event. Books will be available for purchase.  
Friends of the Radnor Memorial Library Resume Collecting Book Donations
The Friends of the Radnor Memorial Library have resumed collecting book donations on the first Thursday of each month from 11am to 1pm at the Radnor Library Storage Facility located adjacent to the Wayne Post Office. We are pleased to accept donations of books in good condition. At this time space does not allow for the acceptance of other types of materials. This month, book donations will be accepted on October 5 .
