The (new + improved)
EARLY LEARNING LENDING LIBRARY
Exciting changes ahead...

From July 7th to August 21st, the Lending Library was closed while we completed summer inventory. We know that this was an unusually long closure, so what were we doing
during those 46 days?
Well, besides some layout changes to our office, the activity boxes have undertaken a major overhaul, and over the next few months we will be introducing no less than EIGHT brand new or refreshed boxes for lending. We aren't stopping there, so k eep an eye out because we're planning some exciting new surprises that we just can't wait to show you.

(now available for lending)
 Did You Know?
At the CCRR, we maintain an up-to-date Job Book containing job postings for the Richmond area, as well as a Substitute List that is frequently requested by 0-3 and 3-5 child care centres.

Are you looking for part-time work as a substitute or know someone who is?
Come to our office and register as an available substitute. Your information will be kept on file for 4 months unless otherwise notified.

New Library Addition:

Have you read this awesome new book by Richmond mother Kaye Banez? Inspired by her son, this book was written to help children develop their communication skills. $1 from every book purchased goes towards the Canucks Autism Network, and you can check out their website at  bammstellacreations.wordpress.com
The CCRR is now a part of the Richmond Early Years Centre. Come find us every Friday from 11-12pm at the  Early Years booth at the Richmond Public Library (Main Branch). For more information go t o   www.richmondkids.ca
Cooking Corner with Ofra Sixto:
Sixteen-Hour Stew

If you work all day and barely have time to cook, this special slow-cooked recipe is for you. Start it the night before or turn it on when you leave in the morning, when you get home from work this dinner is all set. This meal is traditionally served as lunch but this oven pot of goodnes makes a yummy supper as well.

WORKSHOP + COURSE INFORMATION
We will continue phone registrations through to December and are more than happy to provide additional help as needed.

Staff Changes:

We are sad to announce May Leung and Chris Lee have left  RCRG. They were valuable members of our team and we wish them all the best in their future  endeavours.

In other news, we'd like to welcome ANITA WONG as our new Outreach Coordinator. Coming from a 5 year background working with children, you may have already seen her out and about in the community. Anita will be coordinating  with the Together Time and Duck Duck Goose programs as well as taking on the duties of managing our Early Learning Lending Library.

Welcome to the team Anita!
