PFA HARVEST APPLES
AND GARDEN PRODUCE

Pine Forge Academy farm is on its way!!  With only a very small plot of land to grow on, Mr. Beck was successful in harvesting fresh produce all August and September.  Our students and staff have been eating meals prepared with Academy grown tomatoes, squash, eggplant, string beans, cucumbers and more.  Mr. Beck and students have picked apples from what remains of the orchard.  Sixteen crates of apples resulted in 60 gallons of fresh organic apple cider!  Please donate to the Academy Farm and Garden program today.  Your support will help the Academy to continue the costly efforts of bringing back the farm and garden, as well as restore the apple orchard to its historic levels.  You can view additional pictures and videos on the Academy's Facebook page here.

PFA ASSIST WORK STUDY PROGRAM

More than 30% of Academy students have been assigned a Southern University ASSIST position. The mission of the ASSIST Program is to promote mutually beneficial, service-oriented intergenerational relationships.

Students participating in the program will do so by working various job sites on and off campus, such as: HCR Manor Care in Pottstown, Jessie R. Wagner and AEC Headquarter Offices.  Students are paid up to $10 an hour.  This partnership helps the Academy create a school wide work program.
