Varsity Theater
followed by a panel discussion.
"Five Awake" is an award-winning documentary featuring five women in Louisiana. The film chronicles their championing of a historic legislative package to protect victims of domestic abuse and save lives. Their advocacy resulted in unanimous passage of the most comprehensive package of bills ever aimed at stopping domestic violence.
Following the film will be a panel discussion featuring an esteemed group of guests devoted to public safety, domestic violence advocacy, and domestic violence research. There will be an opportunity for Q&A. View the trailer and see the flyer below for more information.
