1. RECOGNITION - Robotics Competition Teams

The Board of Trustees recognized Twin Rivers' robotics competition teams for their innovation and problem-solving, and for proudly representing their schools and the District in the FIRST Lego Robotics Competition.

2. RECOGNITION/PRESENTATION - Hmong New Year Celebration

In honor of Hmong New Year, the Board recognized the relevant and important contributions of our Hmong community members, families, students and staff. In celebration of their heritage and culture, the members of the Hmong Club from Grant Union High School addressed the board and previewed dances to be performed at the upcoming Hmong New Year Celebration.

3. RECOGNITION - Middle School Fall Sports

The Board of Trustees recognized Twin Rivers middle school league champions for their outstanding accomplishments, athletic performance, and for proudly representing their schools and the District throughout the fall season.

4. RECOGNITION - Budget Services for being awarded the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Meritorious Budget Award for 2017-18

The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International awarded its Meritorious Budget Award to Twin Rivers Unified School District for its 2017-2018 adopted budget. The District is very proud to have received this prestigious award on its first year of submission for the 2010-2011 budget and every year thereafter.

Budget Services staff was formally recognized by the Board of Trustees at the Nov. 14, 2017 regular board meeting for a job well done.

5.  PUBLIC HEARING - PRESENT and ADOPT Resolution No. 675 - Westside Preparatory Charter School

Resolution No. 675 was submitted for approval regarding the Westside Charter amendment to add a new additional site, known as the "Regency Campus," located at Regency Park Elementary at 5901 Bridgecross Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835. The Charter School may commence operations at Regency Park beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. The Superintendent recommends adoption of Resolution No. 675 as requested.

6.  APPROVE - Students Calendars for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 School Year

The TRUSD Collaborative Calendar Committee comprised of representatives from TRUE, CSEA, principals and departments held several meetings throughout the school year to review options for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 student calendars.

7.  PRESENT - Induction Update

The Board of Trustees received an update on new teacher support for Induction and Interns.

8.  PRESENT - New Accountability System - California Schools Dashboard

The Assessment and Accountability Department and Special Projects presented a review of the new California Schools Dashboard, highlighting the state and local indicators.

9.  APPROVED - PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS
The Board approved all personnel recommendations including new hires, promotions, resignations and leaves.
