It's almost the most wonderful time of the year! 
Come For Santa stay for the Fun. 

Kick off the Holiday Season in DeKalb County November 30th - December 3rd. Enjoy a weekend full of holiday traditions for kids from 1 to 92. 

Santa Comes to DeKalb 11/30: Cookies, cocoa and caroling at the Egyptian Theatre help to celebrate Santa's arrival at 7pm.

Winter Chocolate Walk 11/30: Enjoy the best of Sycamore's shops while sampling a vast array of fine chocolate desserts. Enjoy hot chocolate, chocolate covered candy canes, chocolate martinis, homemade chocolate marshmallows, chocolate donuts, chocolate dipped mini cones and much more! 

A Charlie Brown Christmas
 11/30 - 12/3: 
presented by the Stagecoach Theatre.

Walk with Santa 12/1: Kids and adults can enjoy a free movie while waiting to welcome Santa and his elves. Later you can and join Santa in lighting the tree and visit him at his house to present him with your Christmas wish list in Downtown Sycamore.
 
Celebrate the Season 12/1: Celebrate the Season is filled with traditional holiday activities, including FREE wagon rides, a live petting zoo, warming fires, Christmas caroling, holiday music, free hot chocolate, cookies, coffee and our annual tree lighting ceremony. The whole evening begins with our Jingle bell parade at 6:00 pm with the arrival of Santa to town! After the parade join us for the lighting of our community Christmas tree in Downtown Genoa

The Nutcracker  12/1 - 3:  presented b y the Beth Fowler Dance Company at the Egyptian Theatre

Mostly Minnesota Christmas 12/1 - 3: presented by Indian Valley Theatre at the Sandwich Opera House

Festival of Trees 12/1 - 31: Explore the decorated Midwest Museum of Natural History that includes 20 Christmas Trees decorated by local businesses and non-profits 

Taste of the Season 12/2: Spend the day in Downtown DeKalb and get a taste of the season. Enjoy carriage rides and visit with Santa from 11am-3pm, then experience the season by sampling wine paired with food from local restaurants while checking items off your holiday shopping list from 5-10pm (tickets on sale now).

 
A Sandwich Christmas 12/2 & 3: troll through the beautiful holiday trees decorated by local businesses and non-profit organizations. shop for the perfect holiday gift at the Holiday Lane Craft Show. Crafters and Home Business owners will be in the convention center to help make your holiday shopping enjoyable. Enjoy an evening listening to Carolers, Music, Smore's by the fire and a visit from Santa Clause under the holiday lights. Climb aboard the Christmas Trolley (enclosed) and enjoy a tour viewing the Decorated Homes of Sandwich.
